"The 92nd Street Y's Tisch Center for the Arts has a series called ‘How Do They Make Those Beautiful Sounds?’ - 40-minute concert demonstrations that let kids ages 3 and up understand what makes an instrument tick.

“The next show in the series is on Monday, when John Bertles ‘pokes around the piano.’...

“With him will be Erica Feidner, the pianist and ‘matchmaker’ recently profiled in The New Yorker.

“Feidner, a genius at matching people up with pianos, will bring a specially made 7-foot Steinway grand in which the internal workings are visible - so kids can see how the piano really works.”
